A Beginner's Guide to GTM Server Side Implementation

Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a powerful tool that allows you to manage and deploy marketing tags on your website without the need for developer involvement. However, the traditional GTM implementation can cause performance issues as all tags are fired on the client-side, leading to slower page load times. This is where the GTM Server Side implementation comes in, which allows you to move some or all of your tags to the server-side and improve website performance. In this blog, we'll walk you through the steps to implement GTM Server Side.

Step 1: Set Up GTM Account

The first step is to set up your GTM account. If you already have a GTM account, you can skip this step. If not, go to the GTM website and sign up for a free account. Once you have signed up, create a new container and choose the Server Container option.

Step 2: Set Up a Tag Manager Server Container

In this step, you will need to set up a Tag Manager server container. To do this, go to the Tag Manager Server Container section in the GTM dashboard and click on the Create Server Container button. Follow the instructions to set up your server container.

Step 3: Create a Container in your Tag Manager Server Container

Once you have set up your Tag Manager server container, you can create a new container within it. This container will be used to manage your tags, triggers, and variables, just like the traditional GTM container.

Step 4: Set up your server environment

To implement the GTM Server Side, you need to set up a server environment where you can host your container. There are two options for this: either you can use a cloud provider such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure, or you can set up your own server.

Step 5: Install and Configure the Server Container Connector

The Server Container Connector is a software that connects your Tag Manager server container to your server environment. To install it, go to the Server Container Connector section in the GTM dashboard and follow the instructions to download and install the connector. Once installed, configure the connector with your server environment details.

Step 6: Add and Configure Tags

After you have installed and configured the Server Container Connector, you can add and configure your tags, triggers, and variables in the container. To add a tag, click on the New Tag button and follow the instructions to configure the tag.

Step 7: Publish your Container

Once you have added and configured your tags, triggers, and variables, you can publish your container to make the changes live on your website. To do this, go to the Overview section in your Tag Manager server container and click on the Publish button.

Congratulations, you have successfully implemented GTM Server Side!

In conclusion, GTM Server Side implementation offers a better way to manage and deploy your marketing tags while improving website performance. By following the above steps, you can easily implement GTM Server Side on your website and enjoy the benefits it offers.

Preparing for the AI Revolution: How Artificial Intelligence Will Impact the Future of Work

Artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to transform the way we work and do business in the coming years. From automating routine tasks to enhancing decision-making and improving customer service, AI has the potential to revolutionize virtually every aspect of work. In this blog, we'll explore some of the ways that AI is expected to impact the future of work, both positive and negative. Automation and Job Disruption One of the most significant impacts of AI on the future of work will be automation. AI-powered machines and algorithms can perform tasks that were previously done by humans, such as data entry, customer service, and even some types of creative work. While this can increase efficiency and productivity, it also raises concerns about job displacement. Many workers will need to develop new skills or find new types of work as automation becomes more prevalent. Improved Decision-Making Another major impact of AI on the future of work will be improved decision-making. AI algo...

Exploring the Power of Generative AI: A Look at its Uses in Various Industries

Artificial intelligence has come a long way over the last few years, and one of the most exciting areas of development is in the field of generative AI. Generative AI refers to the use of algorithms and models to generate new content, such as images, videos, and text, based on existing data. In this blog, we will explore the concept of generative AI, how it works, and its uses in various industries. What is Generative AI? Generative AI is a subset of artificial intelligence that involves the creation of new content from existing data. The key idea behind generative AI is that the algorithm is trained on a large dataset, which it then uses to generate new content that is similar to the original data. Generative AI relies on a type of deep learning model called a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN). A GAN consists of two neural networks, a generator and a discriminator, that work together to produce new content. The generator network creates new data by sampling from a probability dis...
